I picked this CD up last week and have enjoyed it very much. Roy is taking the music in another direction - and he is doing with without compromise. Purists, I figure, will not appreciate it, neither jazz nor hip hop. Those who can maintain an open mind will find it well worth their time to give it a listen. I think Roy and his group have done an incredible job. I hope it sells like mad.

I meant to come back to this one - I picked up Brecker's CD and it didn't move me like RH Factor. Had a few cuts that were interesting but nothing that knocked my socks off. Different strokes for different folks.

Man, I bought the RH factor last week and all i have to say is that the CD is sick. The beats are ill the harmonies are awesome. There's not much more I can say. The singing is very soulful. The more I listen to the CD the more I like it. The trumpet playing is also great. Specially on the song "the stroke". humm i wonder what the "the stroke" is all about. But anyways it's awesome. It's great how roy can go into hip hop and R&B but still keep his signature style and be himself.

Although I like this CD, I like a little funk with my funk. Plus the production is not real great. Maybe Roy shoulda left that to someone else.
The tunes just are not that funky for a funk record.
