As I said, show me even one post in this thread which tried to excuse what Benjamin did.

"Reason" is not the same as "excuse".

Please ignore him guys, this thread is about a bad seller here, not his need to be right.

Thanks!

I am sad to hear about blasticore's troubles, I remember him. =\

And sorry to hear about the sour mouthpiece experience, fraser. Every reason in the world can't change the fact that he sold you a lemon under false pretenses and for whatever reason is not allowing communication. A tarnished reputation is the price to pay for unprofessionalism, even if it's unintended.

Hopefully he'll come good.

Morris,

"He is a college student, and college students are usually dirt poor.
That is no excuse for selling a bad mouthpiece,
but it might be the reason"

You said it, not me!

Either way, fraser appears to have been "ripped off" and the seller is no where to be found? Could he not come on TH from a borrowed computer, one at the library, one at the college, one at the home of a friend or parent and contact the buyer of his intentions? It is an integrity issue regardless.

Best wishes, Morrris!

Whatever the reason, which of course isn't necessarily an excuse, I don't expect any recourse at this point in time, The ad that Ben had posted listed a number of mouthpieces, and everyone on this board should beware of purchasing from him.

Thanks everyone for the input!

Have a look on the posts that BSTRUMPET85 made in this thread and make your own conclusions.

I don't understand Tom Turner's attitude in that thread,
although I have often seen Tom Turner post a similar attitude towards many people.
He scolded the original poster, telling the poster that he should have used the TH search engine rather than post the question.

Anybody who has been here any length of time knows that the TH search engine is lousy, doesn't work right, that many people here have publicly complained about the lousy search engine, and TH management has said that they are aware of the problem but that there is nothing that they can do about it.

I can't count the number of times that the TH search engine has told me that there are no matches for my search parameters, but when I did an outside Google search for such TH posts, Google found those posts immediately.

So Tom Turner was scolding the original poster and telling the original poster to use the TH search engine that doesn't work.

That is my 'conclusion" from the link you gave.

Congratulations on posting the most illogical post of the day which shoots yourself in the foot.

I said "Show even one post in this thread which attempts to excuse what Benjamin did",
then you quote me saying "that is no excuse",
and you claim that is my making an excuse for Benjamin!

When I explicitly say "that is no excuse",
exactly how in tarnation do you interpret that as my saying that it is an excuse?

Oy...

If a man cannot make his house payments and is about to lose his house to foreclosure,
so he robs a bank to get the money to make his house payment,
the need for money for house payment was his reason for robbing the bank, but it was no excuse for robbing the bank, so he is guilty and must go to jail.

Morris,

You need to get a life! Maybe you should "calm down" a little.

Outing a current TH poster, who is a great player, with a great reputation:

who has simply STIFFED me for $100.

Oh, Mark Chuvala has contacted me about it numerous times, always with the same response:

"sorry, I'll paypal you the money back tomorrow. And I'll (insert over the top action) to make it good for being such a PITA."

Uh-huh, manana. This has been going on for 16 months.

So Mark, your reputation is worth less than $100? Think that one over, man.

I read that Mark teaches music lessons at the Middle C Music store in Washington, DC.

Suggestion . . . I once contacted the OWNER of a music studio about another deadbeat seller who'd screwed over a TH member, and told her about how her music studio's reputation could get adversely affected by having deadbeats representing her on her staff . . . and how he was being talked about on this forum, including where he TAUGHT.

She told me she'd get right on it!

BOTTOM LINE . . . she got the guy to make things right after many months.

You may wish to try the same tactic with Mark Chuvala.

Here's the link. It is certainly worth a try.

Good luck!
