Absolutely. Cornet mouthpieces don't have a ghost of a chance of fitting, it's well beyond the possibility of having been reamed out by jamming to big of a mouthpiece in there I would think.


I think Kenny Wheeler used a cornet mouthpiece in his flugel for a while. Some longer shank cornet mouthpieces might work; if you get stuck, I always found Bach, Schilke, and Yamaha flugel pieces somewhat shallow - the GRs are fairly shallow too.
