Why are high notes hard?

When you say "getting the mouthpiece out of the red in the upper lip" I assume you mean to keep the mpc up higher?

as far as increasing range, i dont think you can really point to a specific physical thing to do that will help (except practice correctly! ). it's, in more general terms, more of a "knack" as already debated =P

High notes ain't hard! It's all about finding the right Dubba C mouthpiece that works for you, right?
