Hi Stu: I have owned a brass/lacquer Don Getzen Signature flug ( #78xx ) since 1977. The Willson valves are wonderful things and the horn itself, other than displaying some surface corrosion and other travel/stage related battle scars, is a great player. Dark, smoky sound, easy to control out of the staff, records well and blends well in a section. The one you're considering might be worth a closer look. Hope this helps.
