recently iv been listening to alot of Mahler, it all stems from a trip to vienna last easter where i first heard Mahler.

iv had a look on the net for some midi files and i have found one, but as usual with midi some of the notes are wrong and/or missing, and there are no dynamics or articulations! what makes it worse is that there are parts for cor anglais on it as well!

i was wondering if anyone had the first part to mahler 5 and could email me a copy please.

thank you, sam

I, too, would be interested in getting the mahler 5 part. I have the excerpt of the "Trauermarsch", but I want to have the whole piece, so if someone could email it to me, also, I would be very thankful!

Suggestion: you can get the Dover score to Mahler 5 (the fullsize version comes with Mahler 6 also) and practice tpt 1 part while seeing what's going on with the rest of the orchestration. Some people think this is a cool, helpful thing to do.

I agree.

I would send you my copy of mahler 5 with my markings, but it might possibly aid you in the upcoming cso audition. Sorry, but I eliminate all threats.

But you said in another thread that you were already the principal trumpet in the CSO. Help me understand why you would have to audition again for a position you already have.
