I was in 7th grade when I first heard this record,,,,,I didn't get it,,,,,,now im so in love with it.

I didn't hear Kind of Blue until my junior year in high school. I didn't quite get it, or most jazz for that matter. My scope was limited pretty much to big band stuff. It's this kind of thing that makes growing up worthwhile!

It's great how all art works that way. Is there any other field of study where successful mastery of a topic can be measured by how much you enjoy it? I don't think so.

Kind of Blue is a great Miles CD, but if you haven't listened to "Ballads" you ought to. It is one of my favorites.

Ken,,,I do have that CD, Ive got a lot of Miles CD. But somebody told me that there will be no way that ill be able to collect all Miles Davis recording??

I really don't know how difficult it would be to have a complete collection. My guess is that there are guys on TH that do...
