I have recently acquired this mouthpiece. Anyone ever heard of it?

I seem to recall that another entity is now handling Callet mouthpiece production and sales, but I'm not sure who. Perhaps someone else can chime in.

I think Jim New may make these now, but I don’t think you order them directly from him.

I used to play one of these. Wide rim, very efficient. Too small for me though, and the rim is a little too wide to me.

I would post this over at the Callet Forum, here on Trumpet Herald.

SC3s, shallower version of SC3, has been my primary mouthpiece for a number of years. Great, great mouthpiece - powerful focused core with excellent pitch center, and very comfortable.

Since Jerry’s passing, his longtime student, Ralph Salamone, has been handling mouthpiece sales. I think he’s on Facebook. Hopefully someone will post his website or email info.

I guess you should try it first then if you don't like it then sell it. I think I saw them go for $60 on eBay?

I've been playing one for years. Little mouthpiece, very comfy, and big sound. Not overly bright. Centered. I've used it exclusively for years but when I play another mouthpiece and come back to it it locks in like a never left.

Hello there, interwebs of trumpet "posters". -(I know, not a real word as I used it)

I have been playing an SC3 for a few years, it's a great piece.

I would like to find an SC3s, but I have had very little luck thus far. I had seen this post some time ago and contacted Ralph (retailer for Callet) this proved fruitless.

I have placed an ad on TH and am still looking for the elusive SC3s, if anyone knows where one may reside please let me know. I would like to pick one up.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Zan,

I have an SC3 that I am willing to part with. Let me know how to contact you directly so we can work out a deal.

Jim New manufactured them when he worked at Kanstul. I would contact him to find out if he could make you one now or put you in touch to whoever is retailing them now.

Good luck.
