I have a Balay's Methode Complete. On back cover of the book, there is a trumpet catalogue published by LeDuc (www.alphonseleduc.com/) and I can hardly find familiar methods or etudes such as Clarke, Gordon, Stamp...... exceptions are only Arban and Charlier.

Keeping in mind that the French esprit, this is quite surprising to me that there are so least in common between english texts and french texts.

However, this phenomenon made me wonder whether there are specific Austo-German method because I am interested in and playing rotary trumpet.

Do Austro-German players also use same methods and etudes in English(?) world?
Or there are specific Austro-German rotary trumpet approaches not-well-known to other world?

Konradin Groth, former Principal Trumpet of the Berlin Philharmonic, has written an excellent book of tonguing amd articulation studies. While not a complete method, he has some nice original ideas about tonguing that also have much affect on one's sound and general style. The book also includes an excellent essay on general practicing habits, breathing, etc.
