Just got a reminder from Blue Note:
That they are discontinuing in Aug. a few trumpet CDs of note and that we scarf up where and when we can find these:
Jazz Profiles -Miles Davis
Infinity- Lee Morgan
Quartet and Quintet- Jack Sheldon
and then a few other ICONs players who Blue Note is bailing out on:
Charlie Parker's Bird at the Hi-Hat
Bud Powell- The best of the Blue Note Years
Sonny Rollins=The Best of the Blue Note years.
Also a reminder that they have Terrence Blanchard's new CD "BOUNCE" on sale for $14.95 nallthatjazz.

Blue note has discontinued Blue Mitchell's "thing to do", "step lightly", ec...now you have to buy the Mosaic box set for his 63-67 Blue note stuff. Also Freddie Hubbards "ready for freddie" blue note is out of print.! Have to order the Japanese pressing. Come on Blue Note! |

Art Blakey - Indestructible
John Coltrane - Blue Trane
Dexter Gordon - Our Man In Paris
Grant Green - Grantstand
Sonny Rollins - Vol. 1

Scheduled for release September 2, 2003:
Joe Henderson - Mode For Joe
Jackie McLean - Let Freedom Ring
Lee Morgan - Search For The New Land
Bud Powell - The Scene Changes
Wayne Shorter - Adam's Apple
Scheduled for release Feb/Mar, 2004
Donald Byrd - At The Half Note Cafe Vols. 1& 2
Donald Byrd - Free Form
Grant Green - Goin' West
Freddie Hubbard - Ready For Freddie
Freddie Hubbard - Breaking Point
Jackie McLean - Right Now
Duke Pearson - Sweet Honey Bee
Sonny Rollins - Newk's Time
Horace Silver - The Cape Verdean Blues
Jimmy Smith - Rockin' the Boat
Cecil Taylor - Conquistador
Stanley Turrentine - Never Let Me Go _________________ Jeff Helgesen
