I mean... did they even bother to read that I was trying to sell a trumpet bell? It's so obvious. I replied and said "Pi** off!" _________________ Charles Butler |

Thanks for posting this. I never knew that postal money orders had this tracking system available. Having to deal with the post office in general is a bit of a hassle, but much less so than dealing with being ripped off.[/quote
That is assuming that they have that much cash on hand. The last time I tried to cash a US Postal Money Order, my local Post Office refused saying they did not have enough cash on hand. |

Yep, I got that too. I just deleted it. My ad had 2 items, so even just that much (the reference to "the item," instead of whatever it is) was a dead giveaway. I think it might be good practice to list at least 2 items, even if you don't have 2 items to sell; make up a fictitious second item that is totally ridiculous, and even point out in the ad it is there solely to make scammers even more obvious. |

This is true. They also have a limit on how large a MO you can buy. The trick is to go to a location large enough to have that kind of volume, and at a time when they are likely to have that much in the till. For a large sale that might max out their limit in 2 or more money orders, that might be a bit of a hassle. True guaranteed funds though! |

I replied that I wouldn't accept personal check, or cashier check or western union. Cash at the time he sent his personal courier to pick it up would be just fine...
I never got a reply _________________ Charles Butler |

Pins have been covered pretty well. Check threads in the comments and suggestion forum. If you need to search use bing or google wit "site=www.teumpetherald.com". The phbb search is very primitive. |

Watch for new scammers - looks like we have some new ones recently.
When in doubt, use escrow.com and don't just send money based on trust. |

I'd like to add Gary Tran, aka Jazz Addict, aka Jamie Tran, CompleteRookie, and some other names I can't remember off the top of my head. The thread about him ripping off someone just got deleted today. |

Is this guy "Sanchez4885" who just posted about 14 ads on the marketplace a scammer. I see that he has no posts in the forum. He keeps flooding the marketplace with WTB items and if he is scamming members why is he allowed to keep doing this. _________________ Yamaha YTR-9335 NYS III

He seem to have many items he wants to sell, as well as purchase. He has been around and doing this for months now! He probably just doesn't delete his old ads.
I thought the marketplace was not useable unless you had made your 5 posts? |

I posted something about this guy in the site announcement forum and all the mod said was to be careful if you deal with him. To me if you don't have 5 current post you shouldn't be allowed to sell on the marketplace. Has anyone bought or sold anything to this guy? Not that I ever would, I always only buy if I talk to the person I am buying from. _________________ Yamaha YTR-9335 NYS III
