If so, which one do you use and what are your feelings about the sound difference, especially the quality in the upper range.

I'm with you giakara, I'm wondering if it will fit my Schilke or Bach mpcs. I hope someone has had some dealings with this thing I'd like to pick one up this weekend. |

Hey ARB, go for it, I used to use one on my 3C with my Bach 37H.... I don't know if it really changed the tone that much, but it really seemed to pull in the slots a little better... closer tonal center, and the added weight really balanced out the horn. I have been trying to find the little screw that goes into mine for years and cant, so I can't use it anymore. Im thinking of buying a new one.

Thanks Jarrett, I'll give it a try. I like the fact that it also balances out the horn.
Also, I should have a chance to try out an Eclipse this month; the guys are having a Trumpetfest here in Atlanta Ga. _________________ Allen - 'Chops-in-Hotlanta'

Hello,
I own a Curry 5Z and a Curry 5BC and the 5BC is very similar to a Bach 3C as far as shape goes. So, I imagine a Curry Soundsleve would work with a Bach mouthpiece. I don't own a Curry Soundsleve, but I'm pretty sure they would be compatible. The 5Z is shaped differently, but it's also a Curry, and if the soundsleves work with BOTH of my mouthpieces, then I imagine they would work with just about anything that's remotely shaped like a Bach. I think I made that much more confusing than it had to be, but there you have it.
Best Wishes,

Ive been using different one from curry for years now, and I like the feel and the balance and it does lock in the slots. _________________ Playing music is better than playing notes!

I just got my sleeve and can't understand how it can possibly help. Anyone know the theory behind this thing?
PS I received it and haven't tried it yet (but I'm on my way home with it), but upon initial inspection I just don't understand how it could work.
