Here's the band's first original song from their upcoming album - unfortunately this one without Jerry Hey's writing... so I figured this would be a good opportunity to practice my recording chops! Hope you guys enjoy it!
If anyone is up for some play-along: I uploaded a pdf of the horn arrangement for "Hit Me" here. It's a bit rough looking, but it's what I used for recording.
Thanks again for listening! _________________ ___________________________________

Keep up the good work! _________________ www.teusnobel-music.nl

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to hear one of the tracks that feature the all-star horn section from the (hopefully) soon-to-be-released Dirty Loops album.
Well, I can tell you it's definitely worth the wait! Great catchy song, great vocals, great playing, great everything... and all us Jerry Hey nuts really have a treat waiting!

I'm totally blown away!
I'm not sure what impresses me most:
Is it the quality of your arrangements?
Is it your ability to play at such a high level?
Or is it your "recording engineer" abilities to make these horn parts sound like they were there all along, sounding exactly as it ought to have sounded all along?
You are THE MAN and I'm so glad you post these here, if for no other reason than to motivate guys like me to be better.
Thanks, Per, that is absolutely incredible . . . my hat's off to you. Way off! _________________ Puttin’ On The Ritz

Thanks again for your nice comments! As my purpose with these recordings has been to practice all three aspects: arranging, playing and recording, I'm really happy you are mentioning this! Now if I only could play bebop like some of you guys... _________________ ___________________________________

Since this is the Trumpet Herald: I did all the trumpet parts on my Harrelson Summit Midnight, including lead, just to see how it would work for recording. A lot more sizzle coming out of the bell than what you pick up from behind! That being said, it will probably not become my lead horn of choice, but the sound this trumpet produces is a lot bigger than anything else I've played. I was going to say something like WT KILLER!! but I think I rather not...

Can't wait to hear the new stuff when I get home.
FYI I've been sharing some of your stuff on FB (for my non-trumpet playing peeps) and people are routinely blown away. Incredible stuff! _________________ "I'm an engineer, which means I think I know a whole bunch of stuff I really don't."

Dynamite, like all of the others . . . those guys oughta hire you! Hell, you've arranged (and recorded beautifully) over an album's worth already.
You, sir, are a force to be reckoned with . . . some of the hippest pop music I've ever heard thanks to you.
(Even with a harmonica solo!)
Thanks again! Rich - you my biggest TH fan
I also think it's worth mentioning that the harmonica solo is played by the amazing young Swedish player Filip Jers. Unless you have a strong distaste for harmonica you should definitely check him out:
