compartment yet the case that sells with the Wind Thing has two, is this option only available for Flip's WT horns; or did I just get an older case?
I sure could use that additional storage area.

Hi,
The Walt Johnson case that Walt makes for the Wild Thing trumpet will ONLY fit a Wild Thing. It is the only Johnson case that comes with two compartments too.
Sincerely,
Tom Turner |

Walt would probably custom make/add another for you... The second in the WT's case is for the optional slide(s). _________________ Don Herman/Monument, CO

Several years ago I purchased a Walt Johnson combo case for trumpet and flugelhorn. I was told these cases were the best-of-the-best, HOWEVER, when my case arrived the top handles were literally falling off!! The rivets that held the handles on were missing/loose. I called their office/emailed several times, once I even spoke with Walt (who sounds like a really nice guy). Most of the time I spoke with a woman named Rosilia (name could be wrong) who may have been the office manager. She explained to me that one of their employees had been ill and his absence resulted in some quality-control problems. She wanted me to return the case for repairs, I needed the case for my Calicchios, so round-and-round we went. By the time I ended our communications she was barely civil with me and extremely rude. I finally ended up taking it to a local repair shop and shelled out about $50 to have the handle installed correctly. Now mine you, this was a $450 case!!! Sometime later she reimbursed me $35 for the repairs.
Don't get me wrong, its been a great case (once the handle were repaired), it's built like a tank, and I was honored to speak with Walt personally (he was very apologetic), but I'd never buy a thing there again if I had to deal with that woman!!!!!!

Rick,
The old retail saying, 'one dissatisfied customer gets you ten dissatisfied customers', was said long before the WWW; now I'd venture to say that one dissatisfied customer gets you 1000+, give or take.
Thanks for the feedback. _________________ Allen - 'Chops-in-Hotlanta'

The case is nice, but I wish that they'd make an attachment to hold a mute. |
