At the ITG Conference this year, Ivano Ascari asked me to compose a work for his next CD.

Please take a moment to check out "OUT OF THE QUIET." Here's the link:

OUT OF THE QUIET

The piece is 9:40 in length and utilizes many different percussion instruments. It also contains one solo movement (each) for the trumpeter and percussionist.

OUT OF THE QUIET is based on the Congressional account of the "Battle of Camden" (South Carolina), August 16, 1780. And is in five movements.

I. Out of the Quiet
II. A Fearful Reality
III. A Dead Calm
IV. Panic Upon a Multitude
V. All That Can Be Expected

More information and a score excerpt may be found at the link above. The excerpt is the first page of the trumpet part.

Thanks,

Rob
