This was mentioned in the fundementals forum but thought it would be better posted here..
I would love to find Vol 2 of Bandman's Trumpet Repertoire. Does anyone know where to find an out of Print book such as that? .Also I've seen the Gia March Book at the UGA Music Library It's HUGE.. Great reference book.. I use it when I’m trying to pick out new marches for Community band..

Hi Kevin --

I don't have any info on that book, but another great resource for marches is "March Music Notes", by the late Norman Smith. It has the solo cornet part of hundreds of marches printed, so you know what the tune is, and who the publisher was, etc...

If you can't find one, I have a copy that was given to me by Dr. Smith, and would be happy to loan it to you -- for a little while!

Hmm... I have it in front of me, now, and it's March Music Melodies, not Notes.... there is a Notes... but it's program notes, not parts. And the publisher was Dr. Smith himself.. at least my version... perhaps the rights got sold?

Anyway -- if you need it, I've got it.

I've looked long and hard for Vol. 2 of BTR to no avail. Fischer's Website says they only list it in their catalog for "historical purposes," or some such language. Thus, another frustration to add to the list that includes the fact that Jamey Aebersold no longer offers Vol. 53, the Clifford Brown Volume, which Brown's estate has declined to allow JA to publish.
