For the first time, I'm trying to sell a trumpet via the trumpetherald marketplace. Is there usually a time delay between posting the item and it showing up on the marketplace?

Hi, I have a similar question about selling a trumpet. It belonged to my daughter and now that she is in her last year of high school, we need to sell it. I saw on the Marketplace that a couple of people were looking exactly for the same trumpet we have, but I don't know how I can get in touch with them. I tried to write to them, but I am not sure they got my message. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

There may be a lag until the sysadmin gets the post up.

As for contacting people, you can PM them by their username, or send them an email using the form when you click on the ad.

Do you think a lag of 3 days is normal? I posted a pm to TrumpetHerald on february 10. No answer since. I do not want to press the issue just have an idea. I can imagine that sysadmin is a demanding job.

My account is supposed to be operational (secret phrase, registry PIN), but my ad always vanish after being submitted.

Depends on how busy he is. He has a full-time college teaching position plus is an active player so sometimes he gets behind. TH is just a labor of love in his spare time. But sometimes stuff gets buried so please PM him again. The forum moderators can't help in the Marketplace.

If you try to post an ad with pictures that are too big it will look like it went through, but never show up. Try posting the ad again with smaller picture sizes (under 500k) or post the ad with no pics and then include a link to pics in the ad. I have never experienced a lag when posting ads with small pictures, they show up pretty much instantly.

Thanks a lot musicalmason1.

I removed the pictures and the ad showed up fine. Next time, i'll provide a link to pictures, as you suggested.
