Is there any way for me to get a hold of the "do-it-yourself" method book entitled,"Pee Wee Erwin Teaches You to Play the Trumpet?" It is a step by step text, combined with a recording to illustrate the lessons, and was designed for the student who didn't have access to a real live, breathing trumpet teacher. Theoretically, a diligent, hardworking, and talented person could teach himself or herself to play pretty well. The book and recording were published in 1965 by Prentice-Hall, which turned out a beautiful package. It was used at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester in their brass department for transposition studies? Oh, well... _________________ Bill Knevitt, who taught me the seven basic physical elements and the ten principles of physical trumpet playing and how to develop them.
