Ussaly same rim and cup (for some a shalower cup) with bigger bore and bbore works nice but always the "try as more you can method" is the best.
Good luck to your recearch.

Regards

I've found that having the same rim helps. Then it depends a bit upon the Eb that you're using and what music you're playing..

Unfortunately, you are going to need to experiment.. Start by using the same that you use on your Bb and find what you need to improve. If your regular piece is on the shallower side, you may not need to look for anything esle.

good luck

Wedge makes a shorter backbore for use on C trumpets. I didn't notice any guidance for Eb on their site. I think that would be a good place to start since it has the distinctive rim you're used to. A Monette 6 or Monette 4 silver series is actually a little less expensive 😎 but works well on the Eb I play. Yamaha 761. I use the 4 on C and Eb and it really takes the struggle out of the intonation issues we're all familiar with.

Another vote for the way Monette has mouthpieces for specific keys of trumpet. I use . 3 series mpc, and have them for Bb, C, Eb, piccolo Bb and A and cornet.

The E3D Prana I have makes for a seriously good result, wth the standard cup only a little less so.

I would guess that any good maker can so a similar job, just continue on from what they do for shorter C trumpet mouthpieces.

cheers

Andy
