John,
Thanks so much for the kind words. You know as much as I do that it was a loan or of love. Claude helped so many people and we all want to see his ideas spread. So much of brass playing is filled with confusion and it doesn’t have to be that way.

Now if the book were only available in a format that the 80% of us who don't use macs could access. . . |

I think Jeff has explained enough times in a few forums the reasons the book is in the format it is.
Jeff did a podcast on Bob Reeves site (ep # 43) where he explains towards the end of the interview that the book is not simply an ebook, is is whats called a mutitext book and this is the only format it can be produced in, maybe those wishing for something different should have a listen and then as has been suggested before, spend a few bucks on a suitable device rather than hoping for something thats simply not going to happen.
You wont regret it!
Regards

Just to add to the positive comments this is a fantastic ebook. Not sure it could have been done any other way with the videos, text and images. And I know it’s no small undertaking putting together a resource like this so thanks to Mr Purtle for making it available. |

Because of the extras, right? That was his quite-reasonable excuse for not printing on paper. But there are other more standard digital formats that will handle those extras as well, I believe? Epub will, and that is a universal format. But hey, it's his income, not mine, that he chooses not to multiply by several X on that project.
I'm done... |

80% of us who don't use a mac?? Perhaps that's a bit of an exaggeration.
There is at least one iPad in the household of virtually everyone I know; not everyone I know, but WAY more than 20%. I have had no problem running Jeff's book in my iPad.
Take care,
