Just wondering who is planning to go to ITG in Hershey, PA, this year.
May 30th through June 3rd — looks like there will be some great players (as always) performing.
As of this moment, I'm planning to be there.
Anybody else? _________________ Puttin’ On The Ritz

I'll be there with Aaron Hodgson and Joel Brennan giving a presentation and (possibly) with a vendor table for qPress any many books. Update to follow on that last part. |

I'll be there—my first time back since the late 1980s—really looking forward to it.

This will be my first ITG, and I'm very excited. Any advice for a newbie about how best to capitalize would be welcome.

Some tips:
- Earplugs are essential - the exhibit hall is crazy loud
- Figure out which horns you want to try, then go to the booth the minute the exhibit hall opens up so that you can try them out in relative quiet. Also, some exhibitors will let you take a horn to a quieter spot if you ask.
- If you want to buy something from one of the exhibitors, shop early - some will sell out.
- If you are looking for a deal, shop near conference closing time - some will give you better pricing so that they don't have to haul the stuff home.
- If you want to talk with some of the performers, hang in the bar:) _________________ Dave Wondra

Am so bummed I can't get there this year. It is such a fun hang where we get to be with "our" people. Performing there last year was a blast, and I am going to miss all that gear to try out. Sure, it is noisy, but you will never experience anything like that kinda toy shop again!!! And the level of playing will give you so much inspiration.Have a great time, don't eat to much chocolate, and hopefully catch you next year! _________________ http://giannimarinucci.wixsite.com/giannimarinucci

I've never been to one of these but am hoping to drive up for a day since its in my neighborhood.
Thanks for the tips, it sounds like its pretty crowded. I was thinking of making Thursday my day since it should be less crowded than Fri/Sat? Wed has an exhibits-only pass so I was thinking it would be more crowded Weds than Thurs. |
