I recently was gifted with two very old looking Rudy Muck cushioned rim mouthpieces. Very heavy in the hand, I guess they are at least 25 years old but apart from loss of silver they look to be in good shape.
So, are they worth the $ for a buff and replate? _________________ Bach 1970's Strad Model 37

I have a 17C Rudy Muck that sounds like yours condition-wise. I buffed it to raw brass and spray lacquered it for protection as its worth did not justify re-plating. Nice, fat, comfortable rim and pretty easy playing up high. Good momento for the coffee table.

Only if they work for you. It takes a special kind of person and horn to work with those pieces.
