Hi all,

I had a generous friend of mine hand me what I now assume to be an older Bob Reeves 42M Dynamic Mass mouthpiece. It feels great so I decided to get another underpart for more lead trumpet work.

The underpart came yesterday and the threading of the old screw rim and the new underpart don’t match. The older threads seem wider? I promise - this isn’t user error and me just not putting the square block in the square hole kind of deal!

I will call and have emailed Bob Reeves who are awesome at responding but it’s Sunday so I though I would pose the question if they ever changed their thread size over the years.

Thank you

Older DM Reeves pieces have a "quick change" threading. They have different threads. The new DM pieces switched over at some point to their standard threads.
