I've been doing the six notes with pitch bends the second time through. G-F#-G, etc. Does anyone have an opinion on this particular approach? Is there any literature I could look at for further guidance? _________________ Kevin |

Laurie Frink and John McNeil, both of whom studied with Caruso, wrote "Flexus," which is somewhat of a continuation of the Caruso exercises. "Flexus" has ten versions of the "six notes" exercise. For each of those ten versions, there are two variations that incorporate lip bends, and a brief explanation of the purpose/benefits of lip bends.
"Flexus" is a terrific book; highly recommended.
Good luck! |
