Got to Portillo's in Northbrook on Sunday. Had the Italian beef sandwich and a beer in a giant frosty goblet. Wasn't haute cuisine but wasn't bad. _________________ "I'm an engineer, which means I think I know a whole bunch of stuff I really don't."

I regret to inform you that every year the fibromyalgia is worse, and as this year I have no ride and I am suffering from an aptly-named fibro attack, I will be unable to attend.
Hopefully, I'll see you next year.

I'm will be unable to attend today as well. A bit under the weather.
I really wanted to come out and meet some of the folks on this forum.

I was studying for finals and let the time get away from me. Leaving now and will arrive at about 4:15pm. If anybody sees this and can delay the National Anthem I'd love to participate!
Cheers,

Hi Tom,
I was wondering how you've been feeling; now I know. I'm so sorry about the flair up. I sure hope you feel better soon and I look forward to seeing you next year.
Best wishes,

Light turnout this year. Weather was too good. But a loud time was had anyway.
The highlight: John Mohan racing up at the last minute and adding a dubba to end the SSB!
A friend of mine got it on smartphone and it'll soon be viral! _________________ Jim Hatfield

A very light turnout but LOTS of trumpets to try. I always find trying different trumpets to be rather frustrating. I pick one up and it doesn't play anything like I'm accustomed to. The tone is off, the slotting is off, the range is way off. Yet the other guys were playing mine like they had owned them for years...
Jim, didn't I tell you that Mohan would show up around 4:30? |
