As moderator of the new Callet forum, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all brass players. I'm sure we can learn a great deal from each other. I look forward to serious and fun discussions from all.
My background includes more than 10 years of private study with Jerome Callet. Though first and foremost my teacher, I now consider Jerry a personal friend. Of course, I will not be a primary focus of this forum, I just point out this credential for those that would like to know. I'm here merely to moderate as needed as well as lend my 2 cents when I think it can be helpful.
During my time with Jerry, I've studied all three of his published embouchure methods: Trumpet Yoga, Superchops, and The Tongue Controlled Embouchure. This forum welcomes polite and professional discussion on all three of these wonderful contemporary methods. As moderator, I will enforce the obvious standards: no personal attacks, no profanity, no innuendo or insinuation. Try to keep discussions on track, offer sources for fact, or note as personal a finding or opinion. With these simple guidelines, I'm confident we can build a pleasant and highly informative forum for all to enjoy. With warm regards, Kyle |
