How long has Lawler been using Getzen valves for their instruments? |

I have been useing them since Feb. of this year. Starting with trumpet #0622. I now have made almost 50 new TL models with the Getzen pistons. All models with TL denote Getzen valves.

I so want a Lawler:( Too me, it is sooo impressive and reeks of quality that Roy says hes now made a whoppin 50 trumpets, compared to mass produced companies who do that in a day or two. |

Hi Mr. Lawler,
Thanks for the response. At the risk of sounding like a smart-alec, do you also use Getzen valves on your flügelhorn (model LF1) ? |

Not at this time because Getzen only makes a .460 bore flugel valve. My LF1 flugels are .438. I have a good set of valves in my LF1 as I do all of the fitting of the piston by hand.

I picked up my new LF 1 today at Roy's shop. I've been playing on it for a couple of hours, doing some mangione stuff. The valves are fast and smooth. The tone is perfect. Exactly as I want a flugel to sound. As with the trumpet, I'm very happy with Roy's craftmanship. _________________ Dan
