A TH member has sent me a PM which says that TH members are irritated by my posts.

I apologize.

I will stop posting in TH.

I reserve the right to have an occasional WTB ad in the Marketplace,
but I will not post in the forums.

I apologize to people who have been irritated by my posts.

Mark

So this one TH member claims to speak for all of TrumpetHerald? Who made him the Mayor?

This.

You've made some good points very nicely indeed... A few posts I've decided to skip over but there's plenty of members I'm much more conscious of skipping.

Don't dwell on what one muppet has to say.

Either way, all the best

I don't necessarily see puting the onus on the critic but I agree that I don't see the point in withdrawing from the forum based on ONE email. Seems a bit thin-skinned and overreactory to me.

Always strange when someone needs to post he will not post anymore...
It is so easy to simply disappear...

When I first came here, I made a dozen posts.
My posts were completely ignored for 2 days.

Then a TH member started posting insults at me.
A moderator finally told him to stop and deleted his insults.

I put a post in the "trade" thread offering a FREE expensive mouthpiece,
but after 2 days nobody responded, so I gave up.

Then I got a rambling Private Message which criticized my posts.
That was the final straw.
I publicly apologized in this thread because of the near-universal rejection of me here.

So,
after I post a humble public apology to everyone,
then you publicly accuse me of being "thin-skinned and overreactory",
I offer this simple final response:

Kiss my butt.

I bent over backwards to be nice to everybody,
but you still insist on bad-mouthing me right now.

So,

Kiss my butt.

That is not a flame war.

That is a parting shot.

Kiss my butt.

Mark

While I hate to see people leave, in this case I think the OP had expectations that do not reflect the way the site works.

Your "completely ignored for 2 days" complaint doesn't hold water. Less than 24 hours after your first post, you were already deleting your own posts, replacing the contents with complaints that nobody had responded. And some other posts in your first two days were merely to complain that nobody was responding. Further, you were already re-replying to a reply to one of your posts, less than 48 hours after you first posted, so you were not "completely" ignored.

You don't seem to be able to get past this imaginary slight, which was caused a combination of your own petulant deletions, your own unjustified complaints, and business as usual here. People respond to what interests them, when they feel like it. Nobody is entitled to a response, especially not an immediate response. But instead of getting over it, you're exaggerating it as you tell it. Nurturing a grudge, for something that was mostly your own doing, and wasn't really as severe as you now claim.

Well, that proves that your "apology" is as fake as your imaginary tale of suffering and woe in your first two days here. Public departure announcements in online forums are also frequently fake. Are you really leaving? We'll see.

FYI, I received a pm from our friend THF containing the same tasty wording.
In my opinion, no need to waste time on this topic. Better to close the thread.
Regards

Fairly sure this person has cycled through here a few times, different names (“Morris” comes to mind), same persecution complex stuff. I’ll bet he will be back with the same “being treated disrespectfully” claims again.
The person who I believe this is then launched into a long, rambling dissertation about severe health issues, with lots of self-pity included.

And I’m expecting another angry PM from this guy for posting this....also again; the person I believe this is has done that before.

The good thing? We’re not really cluttering up TH with all this, most people don’t read the Reveille forum much anyway!😎

I think everyone here has been tempted to tell someone on the list to kiss their a$$. I think it helps me to remember this is a public list whose population closely mirrors the general population where distortions, fabrications, closely held beliefs, and outright rudeness is prevalent. I think it’s just the nature of blogs. You get sincere honest people and every other kind, you just have to filter it all and try not to get disturbed. I have seen examples of good and bad, and will continue to I’m sure.
