Folks, I have run across a brand of plastic horns called Cool Wind. I was looking at their four valve euphonious. The price is pretty good.

Does anyone have any experience with these? They also make a couple of piccolo trumpets.

Just curious...

A local friend has the Cool Wind 4v Euph and likes it very much. He is a very experienced adult former bass t-bone player who hasn't played for several years but bought the euph about 1 year ago to get back into playing. He and I played at our local TubaChristmas, and there he also tried a HS-owned CW tuba - which he said was also very good.

I haven't tried them myself, but trust his judgement.
It's still an open question about how long they last.

KNOW (see) what the next note is BEFORE you have to play it.
PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'.
