How serious is she? Do you anticipate her going on to play in college, major in music, or pursue a music-related career? If so, I would think either a Bach Strad or Yamaha Xeno would be logical choices. Or are you just looking for something to get her through high school? Then I’d consider a Getzen 700 (which can always be found used and reasonably priced on ebay). If you’re not sure what the future holds (or you think she might keep playing after high school, but just for fun), then a Getzen 907S could be a great “in between” option. My oldest son is around the same age and if I didn’t already have trumpets falling out of cupboards at home, these would be the horns I’d be considering for him right now.
