bucket seats or a set of radial tires I'll have to pass.

And look at the additional photos, this is the right way to sell a horn.

Here are some lines to use should you decide to bid on it:

"Hey, it's a lot cheaper than a topline flute or oboe."

"With the mutual fund business gone South this is a great investment."

"I can always throw it back on eBay and somebody will snap it right up."

"If I ever run into Wynton we can really talk horns."

"Priced by the pound it's a steal."

"Hey, I don't smoke. That alone saves the price of the horn every year or so."

"I already have a great gig bag so I'd be saving on that."

"Think how cool it would be if anyone ever asked if you've ever seen a Monette?"

"This is the horn of a lifetime and I plan on living 'til 2070 or so, which means it would only be costing me about $100 a year!"

Ahh, that looks so nice! I agree about the pictures - nice to actually see some detail for a change.

I tried, but I just don't think sheet bracing is attractive at all.
I do like the string, though.

No offense, but IMHO trumpets matter for their sound, not their looks. Whether or not sheet bracing LOOKS good is not the issue. Does it give you the sound you want? If so, get a trumpet with sheet bracing if you can afford it. If not, then stay away from sheet bracing.

Sure, between any two otherwise identical horns, I'd choose the the one that looks better. My point was simply that the physical APPEARANCE of sheet bracing matters much less than how the horn SOUNDS. Isn't the sound why we play?
