L&M Website wrote: | Bach has made this trumpet specifically for Long & McQuade's 60th Anniversary. The trumpet is fully handmade in the US at the Bach factory, and features a #37, 2 piece bell. The rest of the trumpet is made in a very similar style to a Bach strad trumpet with unique engraving to commemorate our 60th anniversary. 60 total instruments with a unique serial # run have been produced. |
Price is $1999 ca, $1488 us. I wonder how similar it is to Bach’s Strad if it costs half as much. Note I am not making any statement or implication about the quality of your horn. It is just the math doesn’t make sense to me. |

Only having read the specs.. I'd say more of an intermediate instrument based on the 2 piece bell design - generally a cheaper way of making the bell, sturdy, and somewhat less resonant. But from what I see, a very worthy instrument. I don't think anyone would be displeased owning one.
Actually, looking to see if they are available in the US.. I have a few students that might benefit... _________________ Freelance Performer/Educator
