Does anyone have an opinion on using a trumpet stand with a screwbell instrument eg. Stomvi Picc or Kanstul Signature Picc? Will the stand put too much stress on the bell joint? And which is a better size, clarinet or flute?

I've been using a spider stand without the black rubber tip for my Kanstul. works real well.
The other thing I did is take a cloth and cut a center hole to place over the top so that the bell rests on that rather than the rubber tops of the legs. i don't think it would hurt anything if I didn't use the cloth, I just feel better about it. |
