Joe, dude-I hung with your uncle (?), Ray. He was on a tour of Japan (actually a shopping trip for first-call studio players) as a part of the Billy Vaughn Orch. Billy sucked but the band was awesome. I had a lot of fun with him. Gave me a mouthpiece that was so small, made my chops bleed, LOL. Hi.. Joe and Ray were both my uncles…
I remember him mentioning his trips to Japan..
He was a great guy and player.. miss him!!!!
I know it was easy music for him.. lol
He used to buy great watches every time he went to Japan…
I couldn’t get a note out my uncles mouthpiece!! Way too small for me..
He got a big great sound in all registers.. don’t know how! Lol
