The 915 was the predecessor to the 6810 and a much better horn (IMHO). It plays very in tune but has a broader, warmer sound than the current 6810. It's one of the best short model piccs out there when you can find them. If you were looking at the one recently listed for $1000, it's a steal. |

The YTR915 picc has been my go to picc for the last 40 years.
I own a Yamaha 9820, but the sound and warmth of the 915 has
kept me using it more than any others.

I have a YTR-915 with Blackburn pipes that I bought not long ago as my first picc. I also got a GR 63P-M mouthpiece for it with their XE adapter. I can't believe how lucky I got, the thing is rock-solid, in-tune, even through all the registers, and I love the tone. Not bad for an almost 50-year old instrument! _________________ Thane Standard Large Bb / Monette Unity B6-7M mpc
