I've been working on a project to improve the serial number date ranges for the first 20 years or so of Olds trumpet and cornet production. I've sent this information to Robb Stewart and Alan Rouse (Olds Central) for their review and Robb is hoping to use some of this to improve his most recent Olds Serial number list (which is currently what I consider to the the authoritative list). There may be some folks here that are also interested in this topic and may have further information to share. If you have any data to add to this effort, particularly Olds trumpets and cornets in the 12000 to 15000 serial number range, please send me an email at centexbrass@gmail.com. Thanks for taking this on. You're like the uncle who does genealogical research for the family, and uncovers all sorts of interesting history.
