Hey I'm looking for a group to join on Tuesday nights. I'm in San Jose and I'm working my way through an embouchure change. I'm in the later stages of it so things are working pretty well at this point.
Looking for something to fill my Tuesday nights right now whether that be an orchestra, community wind band, quintet, whatever. Hopefully looking for something at an intermediate level that plays a good mix of challenging music. Doesn't need to be anything crazy high level but would love to sit with a group that cares about intonation!
I get off teaching at 6:30 on Tuesdays right now.
Grateful for any suggestions. Thanks! |

Ohlone College has some wonderful community ensembles. Tony is a really great Tuba player and puts a lot into his groups. Fremont might be a little far, but still worth a look. |

Their rehearsals are on Mondays (I see that you are looking for the Tuesday evening), but before I moved to Korea, I used to play with San Jose Metropolitan Band (http://sjmetroband.org/, although currently their site seems to have a problem).
Their facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/sanjosemetropolitanband/.
Hope that helps.
