Does anybody have pictures of this beast...I've seen pictures before, but I can't seem to find them!

When I used to own a Monette (made in Chicago), I got their quarterly newsletter. I remember seeing a Bobcat pocket trumpet in one of those issues from quite a few years ago.
FYI, it didn't look particularly unusual--it had pretty much the same configuration as a Benge pocket trumpet. I believe it was based on the old STC-4 model heavyweight trumpet that Monette first built in Chicago, so it didn't have any unusual sheet bracing, double bells, flanges, or anything like that.
You might try contacting Monette and asking which issue of their newsletter carried a picture of the Bobcat. Maybe they have it archived on line now.
Hope this helps! |
