Is it possible to use the pickup in the SilentBrass system for such effects? I know the newest SB system has a pile of effects built-in...but I have the older version. I am also a guitar player and I've got a lot of effects ready to us, but I'm a little hesitant to start screwing around with the SB for fear of damaging it. Any thoughts? _________________ Patrick Boyle

I have seen someone put one of these through a guitar pedal board - is that the sort of thing you are thinking of?
He didn't produce the most musical results (he wasn't that good a player), but it was certainly interesting. |

I've got one of those Silent Brass systems without the effects too. I was excited when I thought of the idea to record myself on my computer with it. The results were bland. I guess what I'm saying is that the silent brass will work as a mic to run into external equipment but don't expect to get a good sound with it. |
