Here's are some real gems for the Maurice Murphy fans (like myself). This is old footage from 1985 of the LSO, and all throughout there are numerous candid scenes with Maurice in his home practicing in front of the TV, him discussing things in his way, and some cool shots on stage or in the recording studio. Quite fascinating, and I am so happy to have found this little time capsule. Enjoy!
There are 4 parts, here is part 1.

Thank you! This is so cool! I haven’t watched yet but is Maurice playing a Bach or besson? I never figured out which back when I was a more active fanboy. _________________ Antediluvian Projekt - An Experiment In Trumpet & Progressive Metal

It was definitely a silver plated Bach at this time (1984). Probably the 25 L bore. _________________ "I'm 73 and I'm still learning." - Maurice Murphy

The Eb he's using looks like an English Besson |

Look at Willie Langs embouchure! Never seen so much embouchure movement before. I see a bunched chin happening, too. Farkas would not approve haha Must have worked for him though! |
