This is a classic try-before-you-buy. Yes, I know that can be hard with Allora.

I have seen student trumpets made by this company that were an excellent value for the money. They worked well, had no major deficiencies, sounded good in the right hands, and were reasonably durable.

HOWEVER

I have also seen instruments from this brand that were absolute junk, beyond repair within days of delivery, and horrible imitations of an instrument before being inoperative.

It all depends on the model, and possibly the manufacturing facility for that model at that point in time. This particular model number I have not encountered myself.

The best I have seen in the cheap trumpet market is an Allora, and so is the worst.

Allora is not a trumpet maker. It's a stencil "brand" that is stamped on instruments made by another party in various factories. Thus one Allora instrument might be made in one place and another in a different place. The level of QC can vary - so one instrument can be decent and another pretty poor.

This is true of almost all of the brands you see on Amazaon - Jean Paul, Mendini, Eastrock, etc. Allora used to be the house brand of Woodwind & Brasswind, maybe it still is. However, all of the first paragraph still applies, either way.
