I started with BE because I felt stuck in my progress. BE is managing to undo the knot. I practice the exercises every day and see how they evolve. Three months ago I couldn't get the Bb of ALS 6 to sound, now I play until the 10, although the last part is not as fluid as the first. There is a road ahead but at least now I am walking, so I am very happy with that. And the best, of course, there are obvious improvements when I play music. I'm glad I found BE, this forum and so much help on it. thank you! _________________ Notice!!! Amateur musician without formal studies

Glad to hear that you are making progress!
All players are heartened by one thing above all else, and that is a sense of progress.
You likely have specific things you want to achieve on trumpet. But wherever you currently are in the hierarchy of your desires, you are relatively content if you are making progress.
BE is all about breaking out of habitual self-imposed boundaries, and seeing progress begin again.
Thanks for the good words.

Thanks Jeff for sharing your wisdom. I knew about the existence of BE for years, if I didn't try it before it was because I thought that without knowing English it would be impossible for me to understand it, another self-imposed limit. Kerouack has helped me a lot with that. first explaining some concepts from the book, then watching me doing the exercises. (Google translate has also helped me a lot). Hopefully the BE community will grow in Spanish, it is a good remedy against frustration. _________________ Notice!!! Amateur musician without formal studies

Congratulations.
I think it is important to share our knowledge. Jeff created and amazing method and I learned from Bruce Lee. And it is nice to be able to teach other people. It is also important to teach it to Spanish speaking people who can not understand it in English very well, cause language can be another extra barrier that makes things more difficult. |
