Anyone know if a Bach Strad stop rod will also fit a vintage Conn 22B? _________________ Jim Hatfield

Bach Strads only have a stop rod on third slide, Conn 22Bs only have one on the tuning slide (for Bb/A quick-change). The Conn requires something more than twice the length of a 3rd valve stop rod. Were you thinking Conn 2B ?? _________________ Ron Berndt

No, definitely 22B. The horn plays great without the rod but I’d like to get it back to stock or close to it.
Thanks for the info!

I had a heck of a time finding a picture of one of those stop rods. I have 5 22B early models and one Victor - none with stop rod remaining. (they are so big they become annoying) Here is a 22B Late Model on Ebay though that has the 1950s version (which is a 5-40 thread like Bach, the earlier ones were either 6-36, or 6-32)

I had to have my lumbar fusion redone and they gave me the hardware from the first one. Maybe there’s a part that will fit. _________________ Jim Hatfield
