I am pleased to release my eBook “Variations On Great Trumpet Methods”. A culmination of 40 years of teaching trumpet using the great methods of Clarke, Arban, Stamp and St. Jacome, I have often been frustrated by the lack of beginning and intermediate material available in these staples of trumpet practice. So I began modifying the studies for each student. The result is this amazing compendium of the greatest trumpet studies ever written, for the first time presented so that all levels of players, from the beginner to the professional, can achieve the highest level of success from them. https://bolvinmusic.com/product/variations/

This is a terrific book. Lots of really good material and some helpful advice.

There are a few things worth noting:

First, Bolvin offered a lot of this material -- such as the complete Arban scales, St. Jacome flexibility and interval studies, and Stamp exercises -- for free on his website. So you may already have a big chunk of the book.

Second, the Clarke Variations are the same as Bolvin published separately. So you might have that as well.

None of the above diminishes the value of the book, and I was happy to pay Bolvin back for material that I had been using for years for free.

Thanks Dayton! Nice to know someone got the free stuff. BTW, there's still plenty of free stuff available as well. https://bolvinmusic.com/free-stuff/

Thanks to everyone for the overwhelming response to my new book “Variations On Great Trumpet Methods”. I received many requests for guidance on how to approach such a large amount of material, so I created FOUR lesson plans; Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced and Professional. The Lesson Plan is free to download as is our 26-page Sampler, so if you don’t have the book you can get a good taste for free. And for a limited time, all PDFs and eBook bundles are 30% off with the code 30off.
