So I got this instrument a few years ago as a gift by me friend group. They bought it from a local Fanfare orchestra which transitioned into a Brassband and had flugels to spare. I tried looking up the Model number but could not find anything about it regarding date or other specifications.

Can you help me identify this flugel? How old is it? Is it from a good line? Should I replace it with a better model?

Hello,

As far as I can see the picture probably this:
https://instruments-musique.pgm-couesnon.fr/fabrication-percussions-instruments-musique-produit-REF-142---Monopole-Conservatoire-trigger-3eme-piston-perce-argente-fr-4.html

Means it is not an "old" original Couesnon but a new PGM-Couesnon.
Never played one but no reason it would not be a good horn...and a great gift!
Édit: if you have the serial number, send to PGM a mail, they will tell you everything

If it plays well, keep it.
