Does anybody know if any current Yamaha model replacement parts could be used to replace the water key on the main tuning slide on a Yamaha 6345HS - part inside is broken so it is struggling to get a tight seal.

Would replacement parts for a 8xxx or 9xxx work.

Thanks

Your local Yamaha dealer should definitely be able to set you up with the correct waterkey. If their parts website is to be believed, your horn uses the same water key as nearly every Yamaha trumpet.

Taking it to a dealer or repair tech would be best to determine what parts are needed.

It's the lever-type water key, right? Not the 'push button' type.

Typical 'seal' problem is because the cork or rubber 'stopper' that goes into the cup at the end of the lever is worn.
The only part that usually 'breaks' is the spring for the lever.

If the 'nipple' or bracket that is soldered onto the slide is broken, then that needs attention from a repair tech. And it would be better to have the repair tech supply the parts, rather than you buy them and have them installed. That way if there is any problem, the repair tech is responsible for the entire job.
