Hello.

I recently bought a used Kanstul trumpet (1601) which I love. The only issue I have with it is that the original rubber bumpers on the pistons are worn out.

Since Kanstul is no longer in business, where can I get new rubber bumpers for my pistons? Is there another brand that works on kanstul instruments.

I appreciate all the help I can get.

This is my first time posting.

Check the visual alignment on the #2 valve when depressed. (Pull the 2nd slide and look). Find a tech or somebody with a set of calipers and determine the thickness you need. Or just experiment. Bach would be a good start.

PS Give Flip Oaks a call. He knows Kanstul inside and out.

Ditto the suggestion to call Flip. Also Doctor Valve / Steve Winans might be able to help.

Flip is very helpful and will have a solution.

Recently I had a Bob Reeves alignment and they ise pads that are warrantied for many years. The valve alignment is a complete service however but if you call them then perhaps they can send you some new pads for a good price without the valve alignment service. I am glad I got it though.

Me, too.

Then again, I designed it!

BAC bought all the Kanstul stuff. Give them a call, they might be able to help.
