Does anybody have a Selmer Concept flugelhorn? If so, what is your review of the horn? _________________ Bb -Bach/Blackburn 37G, Shires CLW

I don't have one, but I had one sent to me on trial back when they were still being manufactured. It played very nicely, as a pro horn should -- very good intonation, and a very 'creamy' tone. In fact, it played a lot like the Scodwell flugelhorn which I also ordered on trial around the same time. |

I have owned 2 of these. Probably the best flugels I have owned. _________________ German made Destino *3* gold plated

I have one and I like it a lot. A lot!
It has a "light" sound to my ears, which is what draws me to it. Many flugels are too "bottom heavy" in their quest for darkness, in my opinion, but here the sound is both flexible and "light". |

Well, I bought a Selmer Concept a month ago and I like it a lot. It has a richer sound than my old Selmer 62 model, but doesn't have quite the range. There is something about the relaxed warmth of Selmers that really satisfies me.
Thanks for all of the comments above. Your input helped me pull the trigger on my new(ish) flugel. _________________ Bb -Bach/Blackburn 37G, Shires CLW
