Gimme EcoPro Baby!
Will this oil create a problem if used on a horn that has been lubed with traditional or synthetic oils? Do we need to really scrub our horns before trying bio oil?
Warm regards,

I've been using the Monster Oil Eco Pro "Lite" valve oil and the Eco Pro slide oil on my Getzen and Bach trumpets for a few days now. Very smooth and long lasting. No smell and no staining (that I have noticed yet, anyway).
The valve oil works perfectly on the Bach valves (on which I typically use Ultra Pure regular). Those valves feel just right. The valve oil feels just a bit thick on the Getzen valves (on which I typically use Ultra Pure ultra light). I don't mean that it makes the valves sluggish, just that it adds a bit more resistance to push against. I would prefer a slightly lighter viscosity for the Getzen.
The slide oil works fine on both horns' third valve slides.
Great products! |

I've been using the Eco Pro Lite on my Taylor Chicago 46 Jazz (Stainless Valves), and on a Blessing with Monel valves since it arrived in the mail. Both valve sets feel great...fast and smooth I've also used the Eco Pro Slide Oil on the first and third slides, and likewise, very slick. In fact, the third valve slide on the Taylor has a bit tighter fit and can be a bit stiff with other slide oils, but is smooth as can be with the Eco Pro Slide oil. What manner of wizardry is this?
Very pleased with the products so far... _________________ Best Regards,

GOT MY BOTTLE !
It arrived just in time for a big band gig. I wiped and applied Eco Pro on my Bb (Bach Commercial) and Flugel (Adams Sonic) while I was warming up and practicing in the afternoon. Played the 2 set gig in the eve, and just pulled the horns out this morning to see how they felt.
I'd give the oil and A+ for the initial trial. Smooth and quick with no loss of speed (3+ hours of practicing and performing)
Pros: no odor (I do not like the odor of Monster Oil regular formula - so much so that I won't use it), I like the bottle a lot, smooth quick feel and lasted, so far.
Cons: none that I've noticed yet.
Eco Pro jumps up on my list of top oils. Thanks Monster Oil ! _________________ Freelance Performer/Educator

Received the Eco Pro in yesterday's post! I plan to begin using it on my current Daily Driver horn, a Yamaha Xeno RGS with "tight" valves, after a thorough cleaning.
Since the Covid debacle, I have been searching for a replacement for the apparently no longer produced Spacefiller Ultimate II that I used for decades. I am looking forward to a great experience!
Merry Christmas,

Not sure if you’ve reached the limit yet but
Gimme EcoPro baby!
I’ve been using the original and have three bottles left, will pass those out as gifts.
Glad you came up with this actually. One of the TH members passed recently and his son came on to talk about how much he enjoyed this community. Also mentioned that his father felt that long-term use of traditional valve oil may have contributed to his passing and it really got me thinking.
If I’m around next year it’s 50 years of playing the trumpet, so I’m sure I’ve inhaled a lot of valve oil fumes.

Merry Christmas! The oil arrived yesterday, and I used it on one of my C trumpets (Larson/Yamaha) at a Christmas Eve service. It worked great, thank you! |

Man, this oil is great. My sample arrived a few days ago, and I've had some time to put it through it's paces on two horns (both with Getzen valves).
EcoPro is much lighter and faster than even the thinnest of the Berp BioOils, and it doesn't get nearly as sluggish as Berp in the cold. It also feels much smoother than UltraPure, which has tended to make these Getzen valves feel almost "scratchy," if that makes any sense.
I was already pretty much a convert to Monster Oil's synthetic offerings, but EcoPro has me sold. I'll be buying some more ASAP.
Merry Christmas/happy holidays to those who celebrate! And thanks to the folks at Monster Oil for this awesome giveaway and for consistently knocking it out of the park with your products! |
