I wrote giardinelli and asked them about this trumpet. This is how they replied:
"Thanks for contacting Giardinelli.
I apologize for the catalog error. This trumpet has stainless steel pistons. This is made by Amati. I believe it is made in Romania.
It should be the bright finish, closer to a Holton. It is silverplated."
I wrote and asked about the pistons and where it was made and who made it.
Their catalog says it has monel pistons.
Any comments on the what the quality of this horn may be since we know it is made by amati in romania and has stainless steel pistons?

Doesn't Amati say it all? Given the price range, you're probably getting just about what you're paying for here. Still, I'm a little disapponted to see Giardinelli doing this. |

Well, if WWBW can do it, why not Amati? Though, supposedly WWBW Allora line is made by B&S...what about some of their BandNow stuff though... |

With so many new brands popping up, it's hard to keep track!!! I didn't know Allora was B&S. What's the story on BandNow? And isn't BandNow aimed strictly at the student market? |
